oh boy here we go..
so, i have been obessed with this game for the past 7 years. and i cannot stop thinking about it. i usually play every day, even with school and homework and daily life activities (not that i have much going on anyway). i decided to make a whole seperate page for this game, and i will probably talk about it a lot. like a lot. and i know no one really cares enough to listen to me blabber about splatoon irl, so i will do so here. maybe i will find more fellow splatoon lovers. i really hope i do ^^

okay, first thing's first. i main quite a variety of weapons in splatoon. i play every class except for splatana. i cannot do splatana. i will probably go in depth on the weapons i main somewhere else, but my personal favorites now are: the custom wellstring, sploosh-o-matic, aerospray rg, undercover brella, dread wringer, ballpoint splatling, gal .96, and a few more.

WELLSTRING. THE LOVE OF MY LIFE. i could go on and on about this weapon, genuinely the best thing i have ever used in game. i love the custom kit, contrary to what others might say. i personally have trouble with stamper, though the new buff is alluring. i'll forever love wavebreaker and point sensor, they just pair so well with stringers in general. knowing where the enemy is helps so much with getting kills, and it helps your teammates too. i think it is the easiest to use out of the stringers, so i'd give it a shot! i usually combine custom wellstring with main ink saver, thermal ink, sub power up. i love wellstring for zones and causal play.
I LOVE NEO SPLOOSH. it's such an awesome support weapon that i think gets overlooked sometimes. i actually don't use wail for myself, i look for teammates in a fight and use it to help them out. sploosh also inks better than aerospray, surprisingly. i like to think of it as the better aerospray, since it does more damage too. i love using sub power up chunks for extra fast super jumps to beacons, and special charge up to help my teammates. very good versatile weapon, in my opinion.
i have very mixed feelings about this weapon. it's notorious for its braindead players, who only spam booyah bombs and die. BUT. HEAR ME OUT. it's an inking machine. i abuse the fuck out of the sprinklers, i play with at least 4 sub ink saver chunks. the rest is... heh... special charge up. but i think if used properly, it's not half bad. using it alone is rough, but i've played with friends and i ended up being an awesome support/distraction in zones. i think if you spam enough booyahs and sprinklers things will probably turn out okay. DON'T TRUST ME ON THAT THOUGH.
undercover brella! another weapon i think gets overlooked often. i know it can easily be countered by a decav, but i've had a lot of good plays with it. i think it pairs well with reefslider and ink mine, since the brella pellets themselves don't do much damage, taking advantage of your special and subs is crucial. if you didn't know, when getting a kill your shield will heal completely, which is the most awesome thing ever. i've had my ass saved so many times because of this gimmick. probably why i like this weapon so much. IDK IF RAN HATES ME FOR LIKING IT I THINK IT'S AWESOME YOU CAN'T CHANGE MY MIND
.52 gal, a weapon you really can't go wrong with. i think it's a solid weapon to use when going solo, it inks pretty good and as the name suggests, does 52 damage. and the vanilla kit is quite nice too, splash wall and killer wail are so nice for this weapon. wall for protection, wail for the weapons that outrange you. i'll always be a .52 gal lover because i genuinely think it's a good weapon with a good kit. it's satisfying to use and is pretty versatile in battle
forge pro. i've started using it recently, and i quite like it! it has good range and good damage, the only gripe i have is with the paint. it doesn't paint well at all, so if i'm in a pinch it can get stressful. but i love the kit! booyah bomb and suction bomb, you can use both from a distance and it's great for me as i like staying back. i've only used it in clams and tower control, but i think it is quite versatile! it outranges a lot of the other shooters, so i like that a lot. i will have to play more with it but so far i give it a very positive rating
dread wringer! i love the dread wringer. it brings dread because it is scary when used right. i'm very sorry but i love sharking with this weapon. i know i'm evil. but it's so fun to sit at the bottom of ledges and use the range of this thing to catch enemies by surprise. and, the kit is nice too! reefslider and suction. idk i just really like reefslider if you couldn't tell. the dolphin kit is okay too, but i definitely prefer this one over it. you also don't have to aim that well and you can still get kills (awesome!) it's fun to play with and it is part of my go to weapon rotation!
dousers! OHHH I LOVE MY DOUSERS. VANILLA KIT ROCKS. there was a time when i would use only dousers in turf. CAUSE THE KIT IS SO GOOD. well, maybe it isn't but it fits my playstyle so well. wail and inkmine. inkmine to protect me when enemies are near since i don't do much damage, and wail to compliment my range and low damage! IT'S LITERALLY SO PERFECT FOR ME AND THE TURRET MODE IS SO AWESOME TOO. i am maybe slightly gatekeeping this one because i do not want the world to know of the awesome potential of the vanilla douser dualies. so keep this a secret between the both of us, okay?
ahh the dapple dualies. the only weapon i have 5 stars on. i stopped using them for a while, but after the range buff they have been awesome!! they are so much better to play with, and i feel like the range matches the weight now. i love torpedos so so much and i can't lie i used to spam them before i was good at the game. i actually used to use the silver aerospray but changed to these! it was similar but did more damage, the better silver aerospray! i really like these, it takes a second to get used to them and i don't play with them often anymore, but they will always have a soft spot in my heart

i also want to add, i play a lot of salmon run too. i really only started a few months ago but i've already learned so much! (thank you evon >_<) i've played my fair share of hlm and reached the 900s on my own before too! it's really fun and i like playing it when i get tired of the normal game modes
honestly, i don't really mind steelheads. if there's a charger of sorts in rotation, then it's usually up to them to take care of steelheads, though they can get really annoying once they show up in a group. then it can get really messy really fast, you have to time a shot just right in order to explode all of them at once. i like how they explode once killed, so all the other lessers/bosses get damaged or just straight up die too!
flyfish are kind of annoying, not as bad as stingers but still high up on the list of most annoying salmon run bosses. to have to throw 2 bombs into its baskets is stupid. because even if you aim correctly, the bomb will fucking bounce right out for absolutely no reason. and not to mention it's SO FUCKING HARD to throw bombs in when there are lessers around. EVEN WORSE if the flyfish are at the edges of the map. thankfully they aren't static, so they will move closer to you but STILL. it shouldn't have to be two bombs man please at least make it so that perfectly aimed bombs don't bounce right back out PLEASE IM GOING INSANE PLEASE FIX THIS
icmycelium HATES these with a passion, so it's rubbed off on me. kinda. i hear his voice echoing in my head whenever i see one. "i fucking hate stingers" usually whenever i see one i try to get rid of it as fast as possible, because they are very annoying. they're static, so they just sit at the corner of the map and shoot a beam of death at you. and it's even worse when there are multiple at opposite sides of the map. and sometimes bad teammates will ignore them so they pile up and oh no there's 3 stingers at different sides of the map and they're all aimed on me and all my teammates are dead oh me oh my
mixed feelings about big shot. on one hand, the cannon is awesome and you just get a free egg throw near the basket. on the other hand, the waves. if it's just one big shot, it's no big deal. but when it's 2, or god forbid 3, you're fucked. the overlap on the waves can be absolutely insane and wipe out your team very quickly. and the fact that it throws the shot right at basket is the worst. there have been many waves i failed because the waves prevented me from getting eggs in or the whole team being wiped out. my advice: get rid of it as soon as possible
i want to say i don't mind steel eel, but. it's actually annoying as fuck. once it's on you, you really have to be careful. the number of times i've died to it because it circled around me or pushed me into a wall is crazy. they take up a lot of space so when there's two or three it can get very hectic.
i think drizzler is fine, as long as there isn't any overlap of multiple ink storms, or if you're on low health. i think drizzler is most annoying when there are other bosses around that have already damaged you a bit. it's lower on the list of priorities but isn't to be underestimated
scrappers can be really annoying. they barrel straight towards you and if multiple are coming at you, it's hard to position them so that their shields aren't covering their weak spots. lower priority, but tends to be killed fast due to it's nature of heading straight at you. though if there are multiple scrappers stacked on each other, i love using booyah bomb or kraken to kill all of them at once. extremely satisfying!!
i personally think maws is the easiest boss to deal with. if you just make sure you have enough ink and throw a bomb in the general direction of the maws, you're good. it's really easy to avoid its attacks, the only think you want to be careful of is when you're dealing with fish sticks and are looking at the sky. sometimes they can sneak up on you that way, but it's easily avoidable by being aware of your surroundings
i don't really mind flipper floppers either, they're also usually pretty easy to deal with so long as you have a weapon that inks decently. i think the only time it's really annoying is when there is an active fish stick right above the circle. it really sucks because i just had a scenario where i had e-liter and i couldn't ink or escape in time because of the fish stick above me and it made me very sad because WHAT WERE MY TEAMMATES DOING. BE MINDFUL OF THE SNIPER TOO PLEASE
